Vintage 1954 American Dad Henry Elderly Man Lot 4 Photos 3.25x5 B&W Gelatin Orig
Original vintage 1954 American black-and-white gelatin-silver snapshot photographs on Kodak VELOX paper, offered as a lot of four images depicting domestic family life centered on an elderly man identified as Dad Henry.
One photograph shows Dad Henry seated in a lawn chair on the grass with a woman identified as his daughter standing behind him in a patterned dress, framed by a modest single-story house, shrubs, and utility lines in the background.
Companion views present Dad Henry alone in a suit, tie, and cardigan sitting in folding lawn chairs on the lawn or on a concrete porch or patio beneath a slatted carport or awning structure, with neighboring houses, outbuildings, small trees, and a residential street visible beyond.
The snapshot prints have scalloped borders with a row of small punched album holes along one long edge, and the right-hand margin of each front is printed with the date JUNE, 1954.
The backs are stamped KODAK VELOX PAPER and carry handwritten ink captions reading Dad Henry or Dad Henry & Daughter Gert. A separate handwritten slip included with the lot reads 1954 American Family Life set of 4 photos ≈ 3.25\" x 5\". The photographs are unmounted and unframed original prints on paper; any brass display stand or other props visible in the listing images are used solely for scale and presentation and are not included.
Actual Measurements: ≈ 3.25\" x 5\".
Condition: Original vintage 1954 black-and-white gelatin-silver snapshot photographs on Kodak VELOX paper with typical light handling and storage wear from age and use. Image surfaces show mild overall age toning with scattered small marks, faint surface scuffs, and a few tiny specks or spots including a small darker mark in the sky area on one porch view, but no tears or creases through the image areas. Scalloped borders display slight softening, minor corner bumps, and small punched album binding holes and edge nicks along one long side with gentle overall curl from previous storage. Backs carry handwritten ink captions naming Dad Henry and his daughter Gert along with Kodak paper stamps. The lot is offered as four loose unmounted and unframed original photographs only, with any brass display stand or other props visible in the listing images used solely for scale and presentation and not included.
