Absolutely charming—and wonderfully weird—vintage anthropomorphic mushroom salt and pepper shaker set, circa 1970s.Each ceramic shaker features a large smiling mushroom character with closed eyes and an expressive little mushroom companion tucked alongside. The warm brown, cream and caramel glaze is quintessential 1970s, with hand-painted facial details and wonderfully kitschy styling. These are unusually substantial salt and pepper shakers, standing approximately 5½–6” tall. Similar examples of this exact anthropomorphic mushroom design are identified as Made in Japan, circa 1970s. Details:* Set of 2 salt & pepper shakers
