Up for sale is a fantastic, highly collectible lot of five (5) vintage 1970s paper-mâché anthropomorphic animal coin banks. These colorful, kitschy figurines were distributed as advertising premiums by the First National Bank of Anthony, Kansas, and feature the original bank stamp prominently on the back of the orange turtle.This charming retro set features five distinct, hand-painted animals with a wonderful mid-century folk-art aesthetic:Orange Turtle (stamped with bank name)Red/Green Cow or BullGray/Blue Puppy DogYellow Alligator / CrocodileGreen/White HippopotamusCondition Details:Material: Lightweight molded paper-mâché / paper pulp composite with painted lacquer finish.Plugs: Three (3) of the banks still have their original bottom plugs/stoppers intact. Two (2) of the banks are missing their bottom plugs (please see photos).Overall State: Excellent vintage condition for their age and material! The colors remain bright and vibrant. There may be minor, typical surface wear, light scuffs, or tiny paint flakes consistent with 50+ year-old fragile paper-mâché, but there are no major cracks or structural damage
