Vintage 1980 Concordia Dillingen Pachten Anniversary Cast Metal Plaque Germany For Sale

Vintage 1980 Concordia Dillingen Pachten Anniversary Cast Metal Plaque Germany

An impressive and substantial vintage commemorative cast-metal plaque created for the 75th anniversary of S.V. Concordia Dillingen-Pachten, a German singing association based in Dillingen-Pachten, Saarland.

The central relief is prominently inscribed:

“75 JAHRE – 1905–1980 – S.V. CONCORDIA-DILLINGEN-PACHTEN”

The elaborate design incorporates numerous raised architectural, heraldic and historical motifs associated with Dillingen-Pachten, including fortified walls and towers, religious imagery, historic buildings and a Roman-style figure.

The combination of local landmarks and historical imagery makes this an especially interesting piece of German regional and musical society memorabilia.

The plaque has an attractive dark aged finish with highlighted relief details, giving the architectural and figural elements excellent depth and visual character.

A small integrated opening on the reverse allows the plaque to be displayed on a wall.
