The interior advertises two Figaro’s locations:
• Parker & Alma, west of Central Expressway in Plano – 424-4545
• Montfort south of Beltline in Addison – 960-1856
Period Dallas-area directory research confirms Figaro’s Restaurant & Club at 1151 W. Parker Road in Plano and Figaro’s Restaurant and Taverna at 5290 Belt Line Road in Addison. The Plano restaurant was already operating at 1151 W. Parker by 1980, when contemporary newspaper advertising identified Figaro’s at Parker and Alma.
By the 1983 Greater Dallas Yellow Pages, both the 1151 W. Parker Road Plano location and the 5290 Belt Line Road Addison location were listed under the Figaro’s name. The same two locations continued to appear together in the 1985/86, 1986/87 and 1988/89 Dallas directories, with the Addison telephone number 960-1856 exactly matching the number printed inside this matchbook.
Based on the two-location advertising and the directory record, this matchbook is best dated to the mid-to-late 1980s, approximately c. 1983–1989. The Plano telephone number printed on the matchbook, 424-4545, differs by one digit from the principal 424-4544 number found in period directory listings; the Plano location had several associated 424-45xx numbers during this period, suggesting the matchbook number may have been a restaurant/private-club line or related number.
