Beautiful vintage 4-piece African hand-carved decorative collection, purchased in Kenya in 1987 and kept together as part of the same collection.
This coordinated set includes:
* 1 large round shallow decorative bowl
* 1 rectangular tray with a row of carved elephant figures
* 2 square lidded trinket / keepsake boxes with carved elephant finials
The entire collection features a striking black and cream color palette with intricate hand-incised linear and repeating geometric patterns. The large bowl and rectangular tray feature flowing wavy-line designs, while the boxes are covered in small repeating etched patterns.
The African elephant details are especially eye-catching. The rectangular tray features a raised row of elephants along one end, while each box is topped with its own carved elephant figure.
