Adorable vintage 1988 Welcome Ind. ceramic cookie jar featuring two white kittens curled up inside a woven-style basket. The kittens have bright blue eyes and pink bows, with balls of yarn tucked around them. The deep blue basket liner and detailed basket-weave design give this one a great late-1980s country/kitsch look. The bottom is clearly marked “1988 © WELCOME IND. TAIWAN.”This is a great display piece for a cat lover, vintage kitchen collector, or anyone who loves 1980s cottage/country decor. The kitten section serves as the lid with the basket forming the jar.Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition. From the photos, the colors remain bright and the piece displays very nicely. I don’t see an obvious major crack or large chip in the provided photos. There is some normal age/use wear, including light wear around the bottom rim.
