A wonderfully graphic vintage Aladdin “Chuck Wagon” metal lunch box, designed in the form of a covered wagon and illustrated throughout with colorful scenes of cowboys, frontier travel, rifles, horses and Western gear.
Rather than simply decorating a conventional lunch box, Aladdin incorporated the covered-wagon theme into the shape of the case itself. The rounded top forms the wagon canvas, while the illustrated sides complete the scene with wagon wheels, supplies and figures from the American West.

Condition
This is a well-used vintage example showing substantial age-related wear throughout. Exterior surfaces show scratches, scuffs, discoloration, finish loss, oxidation/rust and general handling wear. The interior also shows staining, surface wear and areas of rust/oxidation.
The illustrated graphics remain colorful and highly legible despite the wear, including the Chuck Wagon lettering and detailed scenes around the case. Handle, latches and interior thermos-retaining wire are present as shown. Please review all photographs closely, as they form an important part of the condition description.
A Great Display Piece
With its unusual dimensional covered-wagon construction and wonderfully mid-century interpretation of the American West, this is an especially fun display piece for collectors of vintage lunch boxes, Western Americana, cowboy memorabilia or Aladdin products. Its wear tells its story honestly—and the surviving graphics still have loads of character.
