Blue Jasperware-Style Bald Eagle Relief Vase, Shield/Flattened Oval Form – Anchor Maker’s Mark – ~7” x 6” – Mid-Century Japan Export Style
Highlights
• Striking sprigged white bald eagle perched on a branch against matte Wedgwood-blue body
• Unusual flattened/pebble “shield” shape with narrow top opening (great shelf display)
• Underside bears a blue printed anchor mark (rope-wrapped)—a mark seen on mid-century Japan export jasperware-style pieces (exact factory unknown)
• Classic neoclassical/Jasper look that plays well with Wedgwood-style collections & Americana décor
Condition
Excellent vintage condition overall. Matte exterior with typical factory pinholes, tiny dark specks, and light handling/scuff marks from age. No cracks found; no obvious repairs. Please review all photos for the best look at surface and edges.
Measurements (approx.)
• Height (highest point): 7 1/8 in
• Width: 6 in
• Depth (side to side at center): 3 1/8 in
• Top opening: ~1 7/8 x 1 1/2 in (oval)
