Vintage hand painted Porcelain top Chinese Wedding Basket in red/black lacquer in 3 Sections.
The box measures approximately 12.5\" tall and 8\" wide. The exterior has multiple layers of lacquer for smoothness with the interior having smooth matte finish.
Handpainted orange and red lotus flowers with green leaf scrolls make up the design and carry on throughout the handle.
The porcelain top has unique qualities making it most likely?? from early to mid 1900s.
*The late famille rose color pallette with soft opaque color tones.
*Thinner graphic line work, more sparse, illustrative and open. These fine outlines became popular among Republic era artists.
*Courting ladies genre scene which is depicted by elegant ladies and children socializing near a Pavillion courtyard structure. This look was produced heavily in porcelain hubs like Jingdezhen in late 19th early 20th century.
The box is in GOOD functioning condition. See ALL photos as there are some wood structure flaws.
