These 8 fixtures were mounted on poles at a local dealership where I had worked. There were two other dealerships before us and the storyline started in Burbank, CA in the 40’s. The Hubbell Lighting Co and they built this class of fixture-a heavy-duty mercury vapor floodlight in a spun-aluminum housing-was a part of a lighting category Hubbell explicitly marketed for commercial and dealership use, alongside parking lots, truck stops, and shopping centers. The weigh 50lbs each however, I believe a chunk of that weight is the black mounting bracket. They are 29” Diameter (90” circumference), 27” deep from front glass to back of fixture. I do have a complete Provenance record which tells the story, dealership names, people that made it happen if that is requested.
