This piece hails from iconic Elizabeth Street in Lower Manhattan, New York City—running directly through the historic heart of Little Italy, Nolita, and Chinatown.
Long before New York City transitioned to its famous yellow-and-black signs of the mid-20th century, early municipal street signs were produced with heavily embossed block lettering on a white background. Decades of roadside exposure, weathering, and natural oxidation have patinated that early white enameled field into a gorgeous, aged seafoam / turquoise green tone.

* Heavy Die Embossing: Substantial, deeply stamped lettering and matching raised perimeter border with fantastic contrast and edge wear.
* Scalloped Mounting Ends: Classic early bracket-style notched tabs with factory prepunched mounting holes intact.
* Authentic Roadside Character: Honest surface oxidation, light paint loss, and period wear from decades of public service. Structurally sound, displays flat and straight, with typical light service crimping along the center rims. Untouched and unrestored.
