Large vintage German Catholic crucifix pendant featuring creamy mother-of-pearl inlay set into a silver-tone metal cross with trefoil ends. The front features a dimensional metal corpus of Jesus with a radiating halo and an INRI scroll above.
The mother-of-pearl has a soft natural iridescence and gives this substantial crucifix a beautiful traditional devotional appearance. Similar German examples are commonly described as mother-of-pearl or celluloid inlay; based on appearance alone, the exact inlay material cannot be guaranteed.
