Condition: Used, in excellent Vintage/Antique Japanese Bronze Reclining Deer Incense Burner (Koro)Up for sale is a beautiful and finely crafted Japanese bronze incense burner (koro) in the shape of a reclining deer (stag). This elegant piece features a removable saddle on its back decorated with a traditional scroll motif, which serves as the lid for the incense chamber.Key Features & Details:
Exquisite Craftsmanship: Stunning detail on the multi-pointed antlers, facial features, and fur texture.
Traditional Design: The deer is modeled in a classic, serene reclining pose with one front leg anatomically tucked under its belly, providing excellent stability and a beautiful authentic silhouette.
Authentic Bottom Casting: The underside of the belly shows a genuine, traditional rectangular casting plug/seam from the lost-wax manufacturing process (used to remove the inner core material after casting). This rough, untouched bottom confirms its historical casting method and is highly desired by collectors.
Condition: Excellent vintage/antique condition with a rich, deep dark patina. No cracks, breaks, or repairs. The interior of the censer is completely clean and free of old residue. The lid fits properly.
