A beautiful vintage mid-20th-century Japanese Kutani enameled porcelain ginger jar. This decorative cabinet piece features an intricate, hand-detailed narrative wrap-around design set against a vibrant iron-red ground.The main body depicts a continuous panoramic landscape scene featuring a seaside pagoda, a small village hut, distant blue-black mountain ranges, a small junk boat at sea, and a magnificent green Imperial dragon flying amidst large peony blossoms. The shoulder is finished with an iconic green radial fan pattern band highlighted by subtle traces of original gold gilt work along the upper rim. The base is clean, glazed white, and unmarked.
