Vintage Mid Century Enamel on Metal Wall Art Plaques Lot 3 Horse Floral Abstract: $79.95
Wonderful lot of three vintage mid-century enamel-on-metal decorative art pieces, each with a completely different design and character. The standout rectangular plaque features a highly stylized horse in deep red, cream and smoky brown tones. The primitive/Modernist design, elongated body and graphic mane give it a terrific mid-century studio-art look. The round piece features a colorful raised floral or botanical wreath design in blue, green, purple and yellow enamels against a warm coppery-toned ground. The third rectangular piece has an abstract, almost atmospheric design in green, pale blue/white and warm metallic tones with areas of dark enamel around the perimeter. All three are unsigned. Exact artist or maker is unknown. They appear to be vintage studio enamel work, likely dating from the mid-20th century. Each measures approximately 3½–4 inches across; please see the measurement photos for scale.Vintage condition with expected surface and edge wear associated with age and the enameling process. The backs show oxidation, discoloration and firing/enamel residue as pictured. No major breaks or structural damage noted. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.A really appealing little collection of vintage enamel art — especially nice for a Mid-Century Modern, Modernist, folk art or studio craft display.
