Vintage terracotta seated figure sculpture in a Pre-Columbian / Mesoamerican style. This hand-formed clay figure features a tall headdress, stylized facial features, and textured carved details throughout the body and costume. The rear of the figure is hollow formed.
The sculpture has a strong primitive folk art aesthetic reminiscent of Mayan, Aztec, or other ancient Mesoamerican ceremonial figures, though it is being sold as a decorative vintage reproduction / folk art piece rather than authenticated antiquity.
