This is a rare 1905 postcard of the Missouri and North Arkansas Railway completed in 1901 so this could be the first train to go through what is referred to as “The Narrows,” and cross the new bridge over the White River on its way from Harrison to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. You\'ll notice there are men and even women who climbed the ledges, so this was likely a grand opening-like photo shoot. It\'s more common to see the colorized postcards of this scene but very rare to find the original black and white version. Kind of neat to see the shadow of the photographer too and would\'ve had to move fast after taking this shot to get off that bridge. Good condition when considering its age - several noticeable creases (some break the image and and the corner crease on the lower right does bend), lightly soiled and edge and corner wear. Also, because it\'s a pre-1907 postcard reserved the back for addresses only, so the sender squeezed a message onto the front. Shipping and the blah, blah, blah...
