Vintage Rare GE Model J-72 Gothic Cathedral Radio Working For Sale

Fresh from a local estate that had hundreds of radios, this is an iconic, rare GE Model J-72 Gothic Cathedral Radio that is in working condition.  The radio is able to receive stations quite readily and the volume is loud and clear.  With that said, the volume/tone knob on the left side needs to be jiggled at times to get reception.  Probably a bad connection that will need attention.  For a demonstration of the radio working, see the link below:

The original finish has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax and presents well.  There is a repair to the molding base - a piece broke off on the bottom left front at one point and was glued back on.  It is very difficult to detect, but it may need reinforcement at some point.  All of the knobs turn smoothly and properly and the dial indicator functions, but does not go below 630 on one end and over 1200 on the other end.  The original cloth power cord is in very good condition, still flexible, but with some minor fraying.  The grill cloth is in very good condition, with only a few small frayed spots (see photos).  Don\'t miss out on this opportunity to add this hard to find radio to your collection.   In order to ensure safe delivery the radio will be double boxed.  Do not hesitate to make an offer all will be considered.
