Vintage Tonala Mexican Pottery Vase 11\" Hand Painted Bird Floral Mexico For Sale

Beautiful vintage Mexican pottery vase featuring a classic hand-painted bird and floral design in cobalt blue, brown, green, black and cream tones.

This is a substantial larger example, measuring approximately 11\" tall with an opening approximately 3¾\" across. It weighs approximately 2.75 lbs. before packing.

The underside is stamped “MEXICO.” No artist signature or maker\'s name is visible.

The vase features a textured, natural-toned pottery body with glazed brown trim and a colorful stylized bird surrounded by flowers and foliage. The hand-painted decoration gives the piece the distinctive character associated with traditional Tonalá-style Mexican pottery.

There is a small chip/gouge on the body, which is shown clearly in the close-up photograph. There are also minor surface marks and irregularities consistent with age and handmade pottery. No major cracks or repairs observed.
