Vintage Wooden Magician\'s Calling Token – Dr. Victor & Carolyn Trask
An unusual piece of American magic ephemera relating to Dr. Victor Trask and Carolyn Trask of South Laguna, California.
This wooden calling token has clearly had an eventful life. At some point it was broken cleanly in two and later repaired. The repair remains firm, though the join line is visible. There is also general age-related wear, handling marks and mellowing to the wood consistent with age.
It reads:
\"Dr. Victor and Carolyn Trask
31571 Carolus Drive
South calling pieces such as this were often exchanged among magicians, collectors and club members, making them charming survivors from a bygone era of correspondence and convention culture.
A scarce and appealing item for collectors of magic history, Magic Castle memorabilia, magician ephemera, or Southern California magicalana.
Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description and condition report.
Packed securely and posted with care using recycled packaging where possible.
Thanks for looking.
Happy collecting.
