Condition Report:
• Overall Condition: Excellent vintage condition.
• Damage: No post-factory chips, cracks, structural crazing, or repairs.
•Note on Manufacturing Flaws:
1. There is one tiny, authentic factory glaze pop (burst bubble) on the brown patch located on the cat's back. This is an original characteristic of mid-century kiln firing.
2. The backstamp on the base has a typical vintage factory smudge / weak strike from when the ink was hand-stamped onto the smooth porcelain. The iconic castle logo and factory name remain identifiable.
• Note on Surface Wear: There is a tiny, minor rough spot / micro-scuff on the glaze of the blue ball (visible under close inspection / direct lighting). The surrounding glaze remains beautifully bright and glossy.
