This pair of older vintage Vise Grip No. 10R locking pliers with straight or flat jaws and patent numbers was made in DeWitt, Nebraska, USA. They are still terrific, still feel terrific, too, and of course work well. Note that the 10R model number appears stamped on, not molded in.Jaws are clean, with edgy sharp teeth, but have taken a few hammer blows and thus gained some small dings over the years (see photos).Adjustment screw turns easily and cleanly, spring is clean and tight, release lever works, knurling looks great, no sloppiness can be felt in the jaws, and the tool is NOT rusty, engraved or personalized, although most of it has quite obviously been painted orange.So, do youwant to be able to identify & distinguish your tool from others? Make it stand out? Keep it from walking away and getting lost?
