Title: Vintage 1980 7-Up "You Like It - It Likes You" Cast Iron Wall Mount Bottle Opener
Manufacturer: Brown Co. (Newport News, VA) / Distributed by Sassybrass, Inc. (1980)
Condition: New Old Stock (NOS) / Deadstock on Original Retail Card
ITEM OVERVIEW:
Up for sale is a pristine, incredibly rare piece of soda advertising history. This is a genuine STARR X / BROWN CO. cast iron wall-mounted 7-Up bottle opener, still completely attached to its original 1980 Sassybrass retail display card.
Unlike common modern reproductions, this piece features the highly sought-after authentic "STARR X PATENT" and "BROWN CO." lettering cast directly into the metal frame. It comes complete with its original mounting screws still sealed in the blister pack.
CONDITION DETAILS:
• The Opener: Absolute museum-quality, mint condition. • Because it has been protected on this card for over 45 years, the chrome/zinc plating is bright, shiny, and 100% free of the typical rust, pitting, or wear found on used examples.
• The Card: Good vintage condition with some minor edge wear and a slight warp from storage, which proves its authentic age. Features the original retail UPC barcode sticker on the back.
• Screws: Original slotted mounting screws included and sealed.
COLLECTOR'S NOTE:
Finding an authentic Brown Co. Starr X casting completely unused, unmounted, and still on its original 1980 distribution card is exceptionally rare. This is a perfect crossover collectible for vintage soda enthusiasts, breweriana collectors, and Americana decor fans alike.
Item will be packed with extreme care in a sturdy box with bubble wrap to preserve the retail card during transit. Ships fast with tracking!
