This is a beautiful, highly collectible Vintage Lodge No. 5 Hammered "Single Notch" Cast Iron Skillet. Manufactured in South Pittsburg, Tennessee during the 1930s Great Depression era, this pan features Lodge's iconic textured hammered pattern on the exterior wall and handle.
The bottom features the classic single notch in the heat ring at the 12 o’clock position, along with the distinct incised molder marks ("X" and "11").
Excellent vintage condition. There are absolutely no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The skillet sits perfectly flat on a granite surface with no wobble and no spin. It is fully suitable for glass-top, electric, induction, or gas stoves. The interior cooking surface is beautifully smooth, characteristic of early 20th-century craftsmanship, and far superior to modern cast iron texturing.
