Vtg red stripe LINEN TOWEL FABRIC Cottage Farmhouse French County ~Sold by Yard: $19.00
This chic vintage linen towel fabric features an off white color with red stripe borders with 3 thin black lines thru the red stripe. It is still on the original bolt from the store. The only tag says “Tiedike’s”, which was a department store in Toledo, Ohio , which burned down in 1975. Tiedike’s was built in 1910, so I am guessing this fabric was from the mid century or earlier.The fabric has a textured feel and the natural irregularities and slubs that are in vintage linen. I read that 85% of vintage linen was made in Europe, but I have no way of knowing where this was made. It is perfect for various kitchen uses, crafts, runners, towels, pillows, aprons, or whatever else you can think of to use it for, It will add a shabby chic look to all styles of decorating…farmhouse, cottage, French country, or primitive.
