Wild #2, cover dated March 1954. Original 10-cent Golden Age comic published by Interstate Publishing Corp. under the Atlas Comics imprint. This is a horror-themed humor comic with a flying witch cover by Carl Burgos.
The photographed interior page is from “Menace From Mars,” with art by Howie Post. The published issue also includes “Deep in the Heart of Taxes” by Joe Maneely, “Gruesome Gregory” by Russ Heath, “Satan Is Waitin’” by Bill Everett, and “A Witch in Time” by Al Hartley. Those are the indexed contents of Wild #2; their presence in this particular copy has not been verified.
Condition and completeness: Low-grade, fragile copy with a detached cover and loose pages. The front cover has spine damage, creases, rubbing, stains, and wear at the edges and corners. The photographed interior has age-toned pages. The photographed back page is not the correct back cover for Wild #2: its printed indicia identifies The Hand of Fate #9, February 1952. This is a mismatched, incomplete copy. The full page count has not been checked.
The comic will remain in its bag and board to avoid further damage. Please review all photos; the pictured material is exactly what is being sold.
