Imperial Prussian German Army Officer Presentation Glass Pokal Dated Enameled:
$495.00

The polychrome enameled design is done by hand and features The coat of arms of Prussia, which was in use until 1908. The coat of arms crown (Kurhut) refers to Brandenburg, which was responsible for the safekeeping of the German Emperor's scepter and imperial orb. It can be assumed that the glass was a gift for a Prussian officer's 25th anniversary of service (1873-1898). The motto "Faithful unto death" was widely used in the German and Austrian armies. The glass was possibly made in Silesia or Bohemia. It measures just over 11” tall by 4 3/4” across the top and is in amazing condition with no damage whatsoever except very light wear to the gold gilding on the top rim. This piece is very rare and you would be hard pressed to find any similar example.
