·L’artigiano ( ilsediaro) provvedeva con rara abilità manuale a costruire la sedia construttura portante in legno, faggio, ma anche carpine o ornello,impagliata poi con giunchi o altri materiali idonei che l’artigianoportava al seguito. Questo in venditaera l’attrezzo principale con cuiveniva tolta la corteggia ai tronchetti di legnosuccessivamenterozzamente sagomati per lo più in forma cilindrica per dare forma allastruttura portante della sedia. Altri attrezzi indispensabili erano unasega a telaio, un trapano a mano, una raspa da legno. Non saprei datare questoattrezzo con precisione, ma probabilmente è stato usato dal 1700 - 1800 finoagli anni 40, del secolo scorso, massimo primi anni 50. Da questo artigiano ambulante che operava adomicilio dei committenti, per lo più abitanti nelle campagne italiane olocalità dimontagna, che avevano facilmente a disposizione la materia primada fornire all’artigiano (legno)
