These GSG-9 boots areall original, and are fully complete, and retain their originallaces, and athletic insoles. Labele Made in Germany . thus indicatingthat these boots are of a true older vintage, and likely were made inthe mid to late 1980s (unlike many of the Adidas GSG-9 boots seen on, which were made in this older style, but in recent years).Adidas shoes of earlier manufacture vintage were made in factories inGermany, before most of this work was first transferred to cheaperlabor facilities throughout Europe, and then eventually to factoriesin Asia.
Foryears, the Adidas GSG-9 Tactical Assault boots have become legendaryfor their widespread use and acceptance in the international SpecialOperations community (both in Military and Police forces), and were
perhapsthe world’s first tactical boot which uniquely offered an athletic,aggressive, and stealthy design, in fact, as the boots were firstexclusively designed for use by the crack West GermanCounter-Terrorism commando unit, GSG-9, they were naturally named forthis legendary unit. In US Military Special Operations units, theseAdidas GSG-9 boots became widely sought after and used, and becamefavorite operational footwear of the US Army’s ‘Delta Force’,and saw wide use with the Delta Operators in the famed “BlackhawkDown” mission in Mogadishu, Somalia, in October 1993.
