Insanely stunning / inventive, one-of-a-kind blouse from a private sale I went to years ago, when \"TREE\" was a coveted indie label at the forefront of boho modernistdesign. I was sad to see them go, and try to collect pieceswhere I can. I\'m letting this one go because it\'s too small in the bust for me.

This piecewas found in a basket at the sale, along with other one-off items, all attributed to TREE. I don\'t think it was ever brought to market, but I don\'t know for sure. It is STUNNING, very much in line with the Dries Van Noten aesthetic, with a nod toward Dosa in terms of fabric selection and creativity. The body of this is a gray cotton -- feels likeit might have a pinch of silk mixed in, not sure -- withexquisitebright red embroideryon the bottom half, all the way around, and on the sleeve hems too. Inserted at either side is a panel of black and white shibori dyed cotton khadi fabric; it appears as if the extra fabric was inserted to make the blouse larger. Black cotton piping ringsthe neckline; below that, the fabric is ingeniouslytailored to mimicthat ring with subtlety stitchedfolds. There is a slight pull where the khadi cotton meets the gray fabric, under one of the underarms, and may require a small patch or some embroidery to keep from pulling more.
There is no labelof any sort on this piece. I\'m calling it a size medium and suggesting it\'s best for a size 6 or maybe a not-busty 8; would be super sweet and swingy on a 4. Here are the approximate (not scientific) measurements, taken with a tape measure with the garment laid flat:
