Vintage African Lesotho Hand Dyed And Woven- Wool / Mohair Large Wall Tapestry For Sale

Stunning 100 % handmade wall hanging Woven from wool/Mohair in the Kingdom of Lesotho. It is unusually large at 4\'4\" long x 3\'4\" wide. It has 23 loops and can be hung from a rod as shown. Fringe is in very good condition. Entire Tapestry is in excellent vintage condition.  Carpet size does not include hanging loops or fringe. There are many colors, browns, reds, pinks, greens, natural dye color, blues, yellow, purple ect. There are no tears, moth or insect damage. My friend, Michael  and his wife worked in Lesotho as nurse\'s late 70\'s into 80\'s. He commissioned this for me, chose the artist and some subjects,  such as the Tulips in the foreground. Please check pictures.  They show both sides of this Tapestry, notice directions of house doors and donkeys.  Both sides excellent colors and conditions. I personally cannot decide which is the front or back. It is so well made. Tapestry was hand Woven in 1980. Hanging Rod shown is for display and not included in sale.
