This delightful and unique pipe tamper is crafted in solid brass in the image of a sitting Cornish Pisky (aka Piskie, Piksie) – a goodluck charm. It is most likely reproduced from an original figurine at theCornish Museum of Witchcraft and Magic. It has a ring top to easily attach tokey rings, necklaces, bracelets etc. This is a very old tamper that will soonbe an antique.
This tiny Pisky tamper measures around 1”X ½” but being solid brass, weighs a hefty 14 grams. Bottomis signed LANDS END – PISKY.
For its age it is in excellent condition. Doesn’t appear to have been used as a tamper. Markings on the bottomare crisp and clear. It appears to have been polished not too long ago but thereare several areas with real dark oxidation revealing the true age. With alittle effort, it can be bright and shiny like new.
