🔥Antique Early 1900’s Combination Pocket Match Safe Vesta & Cigar Cutter VHTF: $195.00
This is a phenomenal, highly collectible Antique Celluloid Wrapped Combination Pocket Match Safe (Vesta Guillotine) & Cigar Cutter dating to the early 1900s. It has been suggested that it came from the Whitehead & Hoag Company but I could not find any markings.
This Beautiful pocket novelty features a sweet rope-twist brass frame enclosing 2 distinct lithographed panels - Front portion features a Classic Edwardian style painting of a young child in a blue bonnet riding a horse (that looks to be from J.F. Herring’s famous "Pharaoh's Horses" painting) and wraps around to the back. As you can see this is in BEAUTIFUL condition considering its age. Minor scuffing with one small portion missing on the back side. VERY HARD to find these intact with BOTH top lid and bottom guillotine working, never mind with the celluloid pretty much complete! Most have peeled away over the years. This came from a collection that was untouched since the late 80’s stored out of direct light.
Very Rare piece.
