**Antique French Champleve Enamel Picture Frame Gilt Bronze Easel Back 19th...: $699.99
A stunning example of 19th-century French champlevé enamel. This antique picture frame is crafted in gilt bronze with vibrant kiln-fired enamel — swirling floral scrollwork in turquoise, cobalt blue, rose pink, white, and emerald green, separated by fine gold wire inlay that catches the light beautifully. Weight solid 1.17 pounds
The hinged easel back stands on any table or shelf, and the original back plate is included. This is a heavy, solid piece — a full pound of bronze — with hand-finished detail you only find in true antique enamel work.
Condition: enamel is intact with gorgeous depth and color. The back shows honest age — natural patina and touches of verdigris consistent with 130+ years. No maker marks, typical of French champlevé of this era. Please study the close-up photos — they show the true beauty of the enamel.
A rare find for collectors of French enamel, antique frames, and 19th-century decorative arts.
