14 Dalmatia Split Architecture Antique Postcards w/ Real Photo RPPC C Stuhler: $79.00
Provenance
This is a rare set from a New England collection. I was told that these postcards were from the early part of the 1920s collected as part of a Grand Tour. The cards photographed are the cards included. Size may vary.
Condition
These postcards are generally clean but may show age‑related wear, including possible rubbing, toning, foxing, corner wear, album marks, or light soiling. The antique blue box shows typical age‑related wear consistent with early 20th‑century storage. The vast majority are unposted, but a few may have writing.
Set of 14 early 20th‑century postcards documenting architectural and other sites in Split, Dalmatia. Two photographs are mounted on split‑back postcard stock and carries the notation “C. Stuhler Split” with an individual catalog number, indicating publication or distribution by C. Stuhler and identification of the location photograph. These 2 are true photographic images (RPPC) rather than printed cards, produced in small runs for travelers, scholars, and collectors. The other twelve postcards? Unsure what they are, but the back seems to indicate that the publisher is the same.
