Rose Hewett Turner Gargaro is the Large Cabinet Card in the middle. Rose Harwood was named after her. She was married to Dr John Turner which was one of the three brothers that started a snake oil company called the Turners of Philadelphia. Rose and Dr Turner divorced which he dies soon after and the she married Dr Paul Gargaro which is the round photo in the left. He was a doctor for the Railroad in St Joseph, Mo where he moved back to Jackson TN to become a pharmacist in the old Pythian Building down town which still stands today…. The photo of the old lady in front of his is his Aunt that raised him in Memphis TN where he graduated Memphis College for Men when he was only 16. Paul, his Father and Brother came over from Italy in 1877 when Paul was inly 3. … I can go on for days about these people…

All these photos are people that are related to Rose Harwood Taylor from Trenton TN which married Lee Bond Taylor of Brownsville TN. His father was the richest man in Tennessee during the Civil War. His father started a Church in Haywood County called the Taylors of Tabernacle where Taylors from all over the US meet once a year in July for a week long revival.

I have to stop for now… But The song, Delta Dawn made famous by Tanya Tucker was written by Alex Harvey which was about Rose Harwood’s life.

She went to Agnus Scott College in Georgia where she met her man friend named George Harold Byrd… I’m stopping before I write all night.
