Original 1869 antique wholesale liquor invoice issued by CHARLES KLINE of Allentown, Pennsylvania, dated December 18, 1869. Printed red illustrated letterhead advertising WINES, BRANDIES, LIQUORS, IRISH & SCOTCH WHISKIES, and VINEGAR, with a strong barrel vignette and full business identification.
The invoice is handwritten to Mr. Dennis M. Gee, listing quantities supplied, including whiskey, with period pricing and calculations at right. A very early example of pre-Prohibition alcohol trade ephemera, documenting 19th-century wholesale distribution in Pennsylvania.
Printed on period paper. Condition shows expected age wear, including toning, light staining, folds, and several original binder holes from period bookkeeping storage. Reverse is blank. No repairs or restoration.
A desirable and authentic piece for collectors of liquor and whiskey history, Pennsylvania business ephemera, or 19th-century invoices and billheads.
