1876 Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition Visitors Guide Compliments Gorham Silver: $250.00
As shown in the photographs. This version is the only that’s ever come to market according to my research and might be the only one still in existence. This is a Presentation Copy form Main Hall exhibitor Gorham M’f’r (Gorham Silver Manufacturing) with a special gold gilt embossed front cover and advertising rear cover. It is inscribed to notable Keene NH retailer S. Wadsworth & Co., who operated under that name from 1873-1885, who likely attended the fair as a VIP and received this copy from an executive at Gorham.
The book itself is in extraordinary Fine condition with minimal wear and tight binding. Both front and rear maps are intact and in very good condition. The rear maps has a tear in one panel from an accident when unfolding since it’s so tight and crisp. The covers have some minor marks and wear.
