LARGE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN BOY / HUNTER DIE-CUT CHROMOLITHOGRAPH

Beautiful oversized Victorian die-cut featuring a young boy in bright blue outdoor or hunting attire, complete with wide-brimmed hat, cape and whistle, standing in a colorful field of flowers and grasses.

This is a very large-format piece measuring approximately 12.5" tall x 6" wide.

The color on this one is fabulous. The blues are especially bright and striking, with rich golds, warm browns, greens and colorful floral details throughout. The full-figure composition has wonderful visual impact and makes a fantastic display piece.
Likely dates to the late 1800s.

CONDITION:
Displays beautifully from the front with strong, bright color and wonderful detail.

Shows age-related edge wear, small areas of loss, surface wear and old mounting residue. The reverse has substantial glue/paper residue from previous album or display mounting.

I have not attempted to remove or clean the old adhesive, as I did not want to risk damaging the original paper.
