Well preserved red, white, and blue handkerchief from the 1908 United States presidential campaign. William Howard Taft was the Republican nominee running to succeed Theodore Roosevelt. Item is very clean and appears to have never been used or washed. Colors are still bright and vibrant. There are two small stickers on the back (as shown) which were likely inventory stickers used by retailers in those days. There are fold lines but they can either be gently coaxed out using humidity or if the item is properly framed behind glass they will disappear. Two small areas along blue border have fading. There are no stains or holes. Material is still in excellent condition owing to its being stored out of the light for many years. Item is approximately 17.25 by 16.5 inches. Free shipping.
