All photos bear the same distinctive maker’s mark, a small shield-shaped emblem showing a castle/tower with steps leading down to water, accompanied by a 4-digit inventory or pattern number. This was the proprietary stamp used for catalog photography by several mid-century New York and North Carolina reproduction furniture manufacturers — the closest documented match is The Kittinger Company (Buffalo, NY), whose early-mid 20th century catalog photography used a nearly identical shield-logo and numerical system.
While the exact maker cannot be 100% confirmed from the logo alone, the quality of carving, casework, and upholstery, combined with the catalog-number sequence, is consistent with Kittinger, West Virginia Woodworking Co., or RJ Horner revival-line suppliers used by top decorators between 1935–1955.
