THE CHEVALIER d\'IBERVILLE: Some Consideration of a Life of a Great Pioneer
by Peter Hamilton, acclaimed author of the ca. 1900 book COLONIAL MOBILE.
Mobile Alabama: Historic Mobile Preservation Society, 1948; with 32 pages (+ i ) bound in original cloth covered hard cover binding, According to colophon on last leaf, this book was limited to 500 copies only. With lots of halftone & linecut illustrations - especially from antique maps (but maps included aren\'t \"FOLDED MAPS.\")
Only 1 other copy on , priced a good bit higher than my copy.
Great book on the very early \"Colonial\" period history of Mobile (and, somewhat, of Louisiana as well).
Finished size of the book is 5 1/2 inches by 8 inches and it opens to 11 x 8 inches for reading or perusal.Original dust jacket is chipped (not too deeply however) at edges but the book itself is fine, clean, no tears or library marks, no underlines, no marks in and/or on book whatsoever; no torn or missing pages :-} A FINE book in a VG dust fine print ... [sigh] ... but please read :-)
