Original Vintage 1954 Dodge Hotel Coffee Shop Restaurant Menu 20 E Street NW Washington DC The Grace Dodge Hotel opened in 1921 at North Capitol and E Streets near Union Station, built by the YWCA\'s National Board as a hotel for women. Its most famous resident was a young Lyndon Johnson, who deliberately took basement rooms there as a congressional secretary for the natural, informal contact with the seventy-five other congressional secretaries in the building. This 1954 coffee-shop menu comes from its later, open-to-all decades; new owners razed the Dodge in 1972 for the office complex that stands on the site today.
