1960s era Valley Forge Flag Co. Monarch 50-star American flag, manufactured in Spring City, Pennsylvania. Made in the USA from 100% cotton bunting with individually sewn stars and stitched stripes. The original manufacturer’s label reads “BEST” 2 x 2 Ply, 100% Cotton Bunting.
Valley Forge Flag Company was established in 1882 and has a long history of American flag manufacturing. The 50-star American flag was officially adopted on July 4, 1960, following Hawaii’s admission as the 50th state.
This flag comes from an estate containing predominantly 1960s items and retains its original Monarch “Because We Care” packaging and Clear-View Duo Snap storage bag.
New old stock (NOS). Flag is unused and in like-new condition. Original packaging has storage wear from decades of storage, and one snap is missing from the storage bag.
