1961 John Kennedy Campaign Pin w/ I Was At the Inauguration of JFK Ribbon: $35.00
This 1.75" cello button was produced during the 1960 presidential campaign when democrat Massachusetts U.S. Senator, John Kennedy took on the republican sitting, U.S. Vice President, Richard Nixon. It was so close on election day that it was basically a tie. But by the next afternoon, Nixon had conceded. So, the maker of the campaign pin decided to attach an @ 1.75" x 5.25" fabric ribbon to its back to make even more money off all the folks coming to Washington D.C. to eagerly attend Kennedy's inaugural. Likely sold by street vendors and in the souvenir shops, this will make a great holiday gift for an historian or beginning political collector since it's a special, one day event item from the young president whose life - and Administration - was tragically cut short. This is in nice condition but please look at our images to judge condition for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase. We are members of APIC and sell only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence. We'll be happy to combine S & H costs on multiple purchases. Shipping on this will be $5.85, carefully packed with tracking. 12026
