*Online research indicated: Matt Groening created this underground weekly comic strip long before achieving massive mainstream success with The Simpsons and Futurama. “Homo vs. Hetero” and “Life in Hell” ran from 1977 to 2012. These are rigid metal sheets (typically zinc or magnesium) commonly used in vintage letterpress or newspaper photoengraving. The reverse sides show significant surface oxidation, pitting, and residual adhesive/staining from age, storage, or its mounting block. This is completely standard for utilitarian production objects that were never meant for public display.
