Never replace batteries again!
This high-quality 6116 NVRAM module replaces battery-backed SRAM devices while preserving high scores, bookkeeping data, audits, operator settings, and game adjustments without the need for batteries.
Battery leakage is one of the leading causes of damage to vintage arcade and pinball boards. By replacing the original battery-backed RAM with NVRAM, you permanently eliminate battery maintenance and the risk of corrosion-related board damage while retaining your machine\'s saved data.

Preserve Existing High Scores & Bookkeeping DataSpecial Feature for Dallas DS1220 and ST M48Z02 Users
Collectors! Don\'t lose your valuable bookkeeping data! Unlike many 6116 NVRAM devices on the market, this module can be programmed using a standard EPROM programmer.
This allows you to transfer existing save data, bookkeeping records, settings, audits, and high scores directly from compatible devices such as:
- Dallas DS1220
- ST M48Z02
- Other compatible battery-backed memory devices
Simply read the original device using your EPROM programmer configured as a Dallas DS1220, then write the resulting file directly to this NVRAM module.
No file padding, editing, or modification is required. The hardware is designed to access the correct bank of memory automatically, allowing the contents to be transferred without altering the dump file.
This feature makes it possible to preserve existing game data while upgrading to modernNVRAM memory!

- Pole Position \'n Goblins
Sega
- System 16 hardware (select revisions)
- System 18 hardware (select revisions)
Namco
- System 1 hardware
- System 86 hardware
- Sky Tower of Druaga
Because arcade manufacturers often revised boards during production, buyers should always verify the installed memory device before ordering.
Installation NotesBally 6803 & Data East Laser War
These systems typically have the original RAM installed in a socket from the factory, making installation quick and straightforward with no soldering required.
Williams System 9 & System 11
Most Williams boards have the original SRAM soldered directly to the MPU board. Installation requires removal of the original RAM and installation of a suitable IC socket. Experience with electronic soldering and desoldering is recommended.
If you are unfamiliar with PCB repair techniques, professional installation may be advisable.
Important Information
- Some games that rely on a real-time clock may lose clock functionality after conversion to NVRAM.
- Certain Williams and later-generation boards may require a 6264 or 62256 NVRAM solution instead of a 6116 version.
- Please verify the exact RAM part number on your board before purchasing.
- If you are unsure whether this module is suitable for your application, feel free to contact us with your game title and memory chip part number.
Quality Assurance
Every NVRAM module is individually tested prior to shipment to verify proper read, write, and non-volatile data retention operation.
Protect your valuable arcade or pinball machine from battery damage while preserving the settings, audits, and high scores that make it uniquely yours.
