stoneware piece features ornate, crisp white bas-relief work applied across the lid and all four sides. **Design & Motif Details:**
* **Lid:** Features a central neoclassical Greek mythological scene depicting a seated goddess playing a lyre (harp) flanked by classical figures. The central vignette is framed by four starburst/flower accents and a continuous, highly detailed floral leaf garland border.* **Sides:** Decorated with distinct bas-relief panels on each side showcasing playful cherubs/putti, floral baskets, and classical decorative arrangements.**Provenance & Manufacturer Marks:**
The base is incised with authentic impressed factory stamps: \"WEDGWOOD\" and \"ENGLAND\".
The presence of the \"ENGLAND\" stamp without the later \"MADE IN\" prefix successfully dates this collectible piece to the historic production window between 1891 and 1908. This piece features excellent historical factory documentation with two unique internal benchmark stamps:1. A capital letter \"C\" cleanly impressed into the clay on the bottom base.2. A capital letter \"O\" stamped into the interior corner clay on the inside of the lid.These tracking marks were used internally by different artisans during the molding and assembly phases.**Condition:**
Excellent antique condition. There are no chips, cracks, fleabites, or structural repairs. The white relief decoration remains bright, clean, completely intact, and adheres securely to the matte blue body.
