✝️ ANCIENT KIEVAN RUS BRONZE CROSS – MEDIEVAL ERA ✝️

An authentic small Orthodox body cross from the time of Kievan Rus, cast in bronze. This early type was worn by the first generations of Christians in Eastern Europe, soon after the baptism of Rus in 988.

🔸 Classic early medieval form: equal-armed cross with rounded ball (drop) terminals on every arm

🔸 Raised square center

🔸 Original cast hanging loop, still intact

🔸 Simple, strong design typical of 11th–13th century crosses

📏 Size: approx. 0.9\" (2.3 cm) long including the loop, 0.55\" (1.4 cm) across the arms. Please see the ruler photos for exact scale.

🧱 Material: bronze

🕰️ Era: Kievan Rus, approx. 11th–13th century

🌿 Condition: excavated find with a beautiful natural green patina, reddish cuprite areas and earth deposits. Surface wear consistent with its age. Not cleaned or polished.
